Truckee River Clean-Up 2010
Truckee River Clean-Up Day began 12 years ago, and in the last four years 55 tons of trash has been removed from the river corridor. Work in 2010 will include a Spring and Fall river cleanup, including removal of invasive-noxious weeds from “hot spots” identified by the Truckee Meadows Weed Coordinating Group.
TMWA Benefit:
Clean up activities provide on-going benefit to TMWA in terms of sustaining the water quality of the Truckee River, especially clean up work immediately upstream of both the Glendale and Chalk Bluff Water Treatment Plants.
