Watershed Education Initiative

Sierra Nevada Journeys is a locally based non-profit organization which develops educational curriculum for the Washoe County School District. This grant supports continued development and implementation of watershed educational curriculum specific to the Truckee River Watershed. Besides classroom education, the grant will assist with field trips to various Truckee River sites and tributaries

TMWA Benefit:

TMWA supports public outreach, educational programs, and stewardship programs that increase the level of awareness and environmental importance of the watershed and tributaries.
