Truckee River Flood Management Project-Living River EIS Review

This project, sponsored by the “Champions of the Truckee River”, provides the means for a community coalition to participate in the Corps of Engineer’s development of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Truckee River Flood Control Project. The emphasis would be to embrace a ‘Living River” concept as the Corps goes through the public process during the development of the EIS.

TMWA Benefit:

Incorporation of ecological features (Living River) in the design of the flood control project could improve Truckee River water quality and reduce flood impacts to TMWA’s Glendale Water Treatment Plant.
