Truckee River Big Chief Corridor Restoration
Provide habitat restoration of approximately 900 lineal feet of river corridor at three sites between Tahoe City and Alpine Meadows. Work will include restoration of river banks, wet meadows and in-stream habitat, and construction of pedestrian access trails to the river.
TMWA Benefit:
Completion of this project will help to reduce sediment loading on the main stem of the Truckee River, thus providing a direct benefit to water quality upstream of TMWA’s water treatment intakes.
