The Rainshadow Effect: Water Issues- Local to Global
This project supports a class at the Rainbow Charter School that will study local and global water issues, conduct river clean-up, and develop artistic documentation of the Truckee River. Students will conduct individual and group research on water issues, take specific responsibility for riverbank clean-up, make public presentations, and participate in community efforts to promote awareness of water issues and problems.
TMWA Benefit:
In addition to river clean-up benefits, educating the youth about the importance of taking personal responsibility for protecting the Truckee River and the watershed provides a water quality and resource benefit.
