Truckee River Clean-up Day

Truckee River Cleanup Day benefits the health of the Truckee River for the enjoyment and benefit of the residents and municipalities of the Truckee Meadows.

The project involves identifying “hot spot” areas along the river from the Verdi Dam to Vista Boulevard. Hot spot areas are identified by park staff and project partners as areas in need of litter pickup and trash removal, tree wrapping, weed pulling, and graffiti removal. Volunteer recruitment is then based on the number of volunteers needed to address these areas.
