Truckee Regional Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention

Continues TMWA’s support for voluntary watercraft inspections at Donner Lake and Boca, Stampede and Prosser Creek Reservoirs to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species into these water bodies. It is also supports the continued development of a mandatory inspection and decontamination program which has reached critical mass as ordinances required to implement such a program are in the process of being obtained.

TMWA Benefit:

This program is necessary to “prevent” the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS) into the Truckee River system and to protect TMWA’s water supply resources.
