Pollution and Weed Control- Washoe County Sheriff’s Work Program
Clean up and terrestrial invasive weed removal along the Truckee River corridor utilizing supervised work crews supplied by the Washoe County Sheriff’s department. Work consists of trash removal, the removal of homeless camps, removal of graffiti, and tree wrapping to prevent beaver damage. All work is coordinated with TMWA and the Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful organization. The work focuses on the reach of the river from Verdi to Lockwood.
