Hazardous Tree Removal at Oxbow Park
Removal of dead and hazardous trees at the Oxbow Nature Study Area. The dead trees are a result of a 2008 wildfire. Removal of the dead trees along with planting of new replacement trees with a temporary irrigation system will allow final restoration of this critical habitat adjacent to the Truckee River.
TMWA Benefit:
Restoration of the area will prevent erosion of the river bank and sediment deposition in the River upstream of TMWA’s Glendale Water Treatment Plant.
