Truckee River Bank Stabilization at Crooked Mile
Bank stabilization and erosion control along a 200 foot portion of the Crooked Mile pathway adjacent to the Truckee River in west Reno. Bank stabilization will be performed utilizing natural boulders and soil stepped or terraced in a manner to allow plantings of native vegetation such as willows, cottonwoods, wild rose, and chokecherry.
TMWA Benefit:
Completion of the project will reduce erosion and sediment deposition in the Truckee River upstream of TMWA’s Glendale Water Treatment Plant.
