Truckee River Cleanup Day

TMWA has supported this program since the inception of the TRF. Both a spring and fall clean-up are scheduled for 2013 which will include the following activities:
• Working with the Truckee Meadows Weed Coordinating group, target three hot spot areas along the Truckee River for invasive weed removal and restoration.
• Trash and Graffiti Removal
• Tree wrapping to prevent beaver damage
• Mulching of erosion prone areas

TMWA Benefit:

This program provides water quality benefits to TMWA through the removal of potential contaminants upstream of TMWA treatment plant intakes.
