Mount Rose Noxious Weed Monitoring and Treatment #3

This project entails the removal of invasive and noxious weeds from 50 acres of the Hunter Creek watershed. The effort will be focused in the Hunter Creek drainage and in the Belli Front area south of the Truckee River near Verdi.

TMWA Benefit:

The Hunter Creek watershed is a critical watershed upstream of TMWA’s water plant intakes. It has recently been impacted by wildfire which jeopardizes raw water quality and increases the potential for growth of noxious and invasive weeds. This work is part of an ongoing effort to maintain the watershed.
